Information About Complementary Therapy

What is complimentary therapy? What are the benefits of attending a form of complementary therapy, if any? Does it cost a lot of money to attend a complementary therapy treatment? In this article I will be answering these questions in my own mini guide to complimentary therapy.
What are you attempting to sell here? You may be thinking. Well absolutely nothing; in fact I do not even work in the area of alternative therapy; I am a person who provides fostering solutions; I also work on projects to do with natural shampoo and offering link building services.
Gone are the days when complimentary therapy was just something that hippies tried, that was back in the nineteen sixties. It is now actually quite hip and trendy to attend these types of treatments and what’s more they do work.
Complimentary therapy is basically what is says on the label, it is therapy that compliments your more traditional health treatments via for example a doctor.
The favourite of these complimentary therapy treatments for me personally has to be an Indian Head Massage. Even though I am very happy it has to be said that I lead quite a hectic life. I do not feel that I am stressed however the stress comes from trying to fit everything that I need to do into twenty-four hours and to keep all of my family, friends and business contacts happy. Having an Indian head massage once a month is a little treat for myself and is a chance for my muscles to become a little less tense.
I also, perhaps once every three months, attend a reflexology treatment. I was quite dubious and wary when I first went for this type of alternative therapy as it involves somebody touching your feet. In the end, I must admit, that I enjoyed every minute of it and I even booked another session prior to leaving to go home.
As for cost, I personally feel that it is quite cheap, an Indian head massage at my local natural health centre is only £25, this is for a treatment which lasts about an hour.
I am now starting to become quite adventurous and guess what form of alternative therapy I have booked myself in for next week? Aromatherapy – I will write another article to let you all know how it went.
Alternative Health Treatment

Do you suffer with one of the many health problems out there? Are you getting fed up with the traditional forms of health treatment? Are you looking into the different forms of alternative health therapy that are available? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this article may be of interest to you. In the article, I am going to write about some of these alternative therapy treatments which I, my family and friends have tried in the past. I hope you enjoy the read.
I would like to make one thing straight before I continue and that is that I do not work within the industry of alternative therapy. I am actually involved with cost reduction experts and also selling external doors.
For whatever reason my own wife is a person who often suffers with a deep depression – maybe it is because she is married to me. She also has had quite a few health related problems with the last five years. She is quite a stressful person and at times finds life to be fairly tough. A couple of years ago she decided to find a different approach to ones she had previously tried. The first option she tried was reflexology. She was not entirely sure if she really wanted a stranger messing about with her feet but was more than pleased with the experience on her return. She could not believe how relaxed and chilled out it made her feel.
I have also found myself struggling to cope with the pressures of every day life. I now have turned my hand to meditation. This is not I am sure for everyone but it has certainly helped me to think in a more positive and clearer way. It took me quite a long to meditate in what would be known as the correct way as I originally could not seem to concentrate or relax enough. It also helped me, in part, to overcoming a stuttering problem that had affected the whole of my childhood.
My mother prefers to go to a womens wellness centre rather than to the doctors. She has not spoken too much about this to me but it obviously helps her as she has now been going there for years.
Tai chi is a very popular form of alternative therapy for many people. I was actually thinking about taking up Tai Chi before I finally decided upon meditation. Tai chi has many benefits is without doubt something that I will try at a later date.
The above are just a tiny sample of the available complementary therapies that are available today. It is worth pointing out that even though they have been successful in helping the above people, they may not work for everyone. In my opinion it is worth giving different things a try as it may just change your life.
Have You Ever Tried Any Alternative Health Treatments?

Do you ever go for any alternative health treatments such as reiki or a massage? I am, of course, unsure as to how you would have answered this question however I would imagine that most of you will have done so in the positive. I am a new convert to all things “alternative” and I have to say that my only regret is that I did not give them a go far sooner than I did.
Please note that I am not trying to sell you anything here; I am not an alternative health practitioner. I actually help people to “stuttering” and I also work on projects offering training for foster carers and cost reduction.
My girlfriend was the person that first introduced me to alternative therapy. She noticed that I was rather stuck my ways and decided to buy me a forty minute Indian head massage treatment for my birthday. To say I was shocked would have been a huge under-statement; it was the type of situation when you ask yourself:
“What has she bought me this for?”
“She obviously does not know me as well as I thought she did!”
I pretended, of course, that I was thrilled with the idea!
The day of the treatment soon arrived and I headed off to the natural health centre. As we walked into the centre I was trying to act quite cool; my girlfiend confirmed later that she knew that I was rather nervous about the whole thing.
In the end I decided to make the most of it; I was not going to scared; in fact I was going to fully relax and enjoy it.
Scared! What is there to be scared of? Absolutely nothing is the answer to that question.
The treatment itself was amazing; I nearly fell asleep at one point. I have since been back on a regular basis and have even tried other natural health treatments. This is certainly the way that I know like to live my life; it works for me.
